Alexandra Wallace: It's America after all.

If you haven't seen it, this is what I'm referring to:

This is a re-upload because the original was taken down. Don't hate on this user..

Anyway. First of all, the video begins with her saying that she doesn't mean offense to anyone she knows, she's only talking about random strangers. Right, because judging people you don't know is so much better. However parts of her little rant do have some validity. Yes, foreign students from Asia can be loud and obnoxious. It's true. I've been to Asia and it's not exaggeration when I say that everyone SCREAMS at each other. It's just how the culture is. Maybe we're not used to it in America, but in a country founded by immigrants, you'd think people would be more forgiving.

Anyway, while this video is clearly in bad taste to what just happened in Japan, if her timing was a little bit better, I highly doubt this video would have been such a big deal. In fact, many people would agree with her. But as soon as she made a reference to the disaster in Japan, everyone went batshit. Her school even discussed expulsion.

Okay, while I'm all for slapping this bitch for being an ignorant fuck, this is America. If the country can be proud of one thing it would be their bill of rights. Or their 50 Chicken McNuggets for $10. If this girl is penalized for voicing her opinion on the INTERNET, the place where anyone can say anything, her human right of free speech is being violated. She truly was not hurting anybody with her words, but everyone's sensitivity to the situation in Japan blew this up to such extreme proportions that I really don't think this girl deserves.

I think she's as much punishment as she deserves. Not only will this affect her personal and school life, it will affect her entire future. Just for voicing her however ignorant and slap-worthy opinion.
